This important honor, signed by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, upon the proposal of the Minister of Labour, Marina Elvira Calderone, is granted each year to a select number of Italian citizens who have distinguished themselves in their professional careers through skill, diligence, and exemplary moral conduct.
In Emilia-Romagna, 93 workers were honoured - 35 of whom were women - during a moving ceremony held on May 1st at the Salone del Podestà in Palazzo Re Enzo, Bologna, in the presence of government representatives and regional and provincial authorities.
Gaetano Libratti joined OCME in 1994 as a technical-sales employee and has built an outstanding professional career that led him to the company’s general management, which today oversees 530 employees in Parma and 770 worldwide. Over more than 30 years of service, he has held increasingly responsible roles: from Project Manager to Export Sales Area Manager in international markets, eventually becoming Head of the Project Management Service, where he implemented innovative methodologies and tools for planning and managing orders.
Today, he coordinates over 20 managers and oversees various facilities in the region, including the Parma headquarters, demonstrating on a daily basis the qualities that earned him this prestigious recognition: transparency, honesty, rigor, and consistency. His commitment to continuous learning and professional development - for both himself and his colleagues - along with his ability to foster a constructive atmosphere and open dialogue with union representatives, has made him a key figure within the company.
This honour is not only a great source of personal pride but also a point of reference for the entire community, which can count among its members an example of merit, success, and integrity. It is also a recognition for OCME and the Aetna Group, an industrial group that places high value on the human component of professionalism, ethics, and morality.
Gaetano Libratti’s appointment as “Maestro del Lavoro,” along with those of the other new awardees, was presented to the local community of Parma and its province during an event held on May 17th at the conference hall of the Ape Parma Museum.
